OPENING SESSION ENTERTAINMENT

Michael Taggert has been performing magic professionally for over 20 years. Now he has taken what started as a boyhood hobby and turned it into a career. Michael has performed over 2000 performances up and down the East Coast. His performing career has taken him to all of the continental United States and to England, Germany and France. Along the way he has been selected as the “Norfolk VA., Magic Society, Magician of the Year.” He has won an ACCE communication award for excellence in corporate presentation. He has performed at the Embassy of the Royal Netherlands in Washington DC and in most major festivals In the state of Virginia.

Mr. Taggert has been honored as a Virginia Premier Professional Performer. He is currently the standing President of the International Brotherhood of Magicians Ring 50 in Washington DC. Michael has most recently been seen at the Helen Hayes Gallery of the National Theater performing for the Saturday morning children’s series.

His show “Out Of the Ordinary” is geared for the entire family. In the show, Taggert asks you to not believe that what he does is real but that the possibility exists that it could be real. For it is in the brief moment when you let yourself believe, that you experience true magic.
